LE LS1 custom cam

218/214 .578/.578 112 LSA - "sleeper cam" with smooth idle and TONS of TQ at
every RPM
from idle to 6000 RPM. This cam is a "torque monster".
223/218
.601/.558 112 LSA - mild idle, can be used with stock gears and
no
stall.
Good all around power. 1500-6200 RPM.
226/223
.600/.600 112 LSA - aggressive idle, works well with 2800
stall
and
3.42/3.73 gears. 1800-6500 RPM.
230/226 .600/.600 113 LSA - choppy idle, works well with
3200-3600 stall
and
3.73/4.11 gears. 2100-6800 RPM.
234/230 .600/.600 113 LSA - great cam for stroker engines wanting
strong mid range
and top
end power. Works best with 3600-4400
stall and 3.73/4.11 gears.

LS1-LE1
Great for
budget minded customers wanting the "best bang for the buck"
or customers running
larger cams with out fly cutting. The stock valves
allow for larger
cams with no fly cutting
and keep the cost down as well. The Patriot Gold Dbl springs and Ti
retainer allow the use
of most cams up to 240 duration and up to .620 lift.
The LS1 LE1 heads consist of:

LS1-LE2
These heads are about 10 RWHP/RWTQ over the LE1 heads due to the
larger
2.02/1.60 valves allowing larger measurements in other areas of
the port. There will
be less piston to valve clearance with these heads due to the larger
diameter valve and
thicker valve margin.

LS1-LE3
These heads are about 10 RWHP/RWTQ above 4000 RPM over the LE2
heads with no
loss of mid range
TQ. These heads use 2.055/1.60 valves and
fly cutting the pistons
is usually a MUST on the stock bottom end to gain enough piston to valve
clearance.

LS1 LE3 heads and custom cam* - $1450 plus shipping. $1100 for heads

LS3-LQ9 Excellent
cylinder head for making great HP/TQ #'s with a relatively mild cam
shaft. They
start off with a LARGE port and LARGE cross section while flowing pretty
well (almost
320 CFM out of the box) but with a nice 5 angle valve job and portwork in
specific
areas we can see 30 CFM while keeping the port almost the same size
and making
the port
"work" much better.
$500 for 5 angle valve job, portwork, milling, cleaning and
assembly
(reusing customers valves, springs, etc).
We
can also supply Ferrea 2.16/1.60 valves and Patriot Gold Extreme
valve spring
kit for
$550 extra ($1150 total).
The LS3/L92 heads are a lot different than the cathedral port LSx heads
and will require
a COMPLETELY different camshaft profile to take advantage of this new port
design.
We offer several different camshafts to take advantage of this port
design and offer custom
cams at no extra charge. $350 for any billet LSx
cam.
Note to
Customers
*Custom cams* - custom cams will be designed for each set up
based on vehicle weight, gear,
stall, shift RPM, driving style, emissions, head gasket
thickness, willingness to fly cut stock
pistons (or use of after market pistons), rocker arms used,
springs used, etc, etc. Obviously
the cam specs will vary for just about every set up due to
these variables.
The prices above are based on the customer sending me
cylinder head cores and getting the
same set back after the work is completed.
We can also do portwork and machine work only for customers
that already have their
springs, retainers and locks.
The above heads are really designed for stock or near stock
cubic inch engines and starting
with 5.7 castings (853/241 castings). Customers building
larger engines and/or higher RPM
set ups can start with 6.0, LS6, L92, Dart, Trick Flow, AFR
or Edelbrock castings. The parts
used (valves, springs, retainers, etc) and amount of work
needed on each set will effect the
final price on these set ups. Please call or e-mail for
estimates on this type of work.
* LSX engines are VERY unforgiving on piston to valve
clearance and pushrod length. These
MUST be checked on ANY and ALL set ups. There are way too
many variables and the
consequences can be devastating if these are not checked
properly. Please contact me and I
can explain why these are important and how to check them.
